Silas Andrew Botwin (Guinard), Nancy's oldest son, was born in 1989. He was traumatized by Judah's death, and took it out on everyone by bad behavior and doing drugs. He had numerous bad break-ups with his girlfriends and constantly harassed Nancy about her job which he desperatly wanted to get in on

Character HistoryEdit

Season 1Edit

Silas has sex with Celia Hodes's daughter, Quinn, which gets her sent to Mexico. Silas then befriends the 'deaf girl on Dewey St., Megan, and has a strong relationship until they both do the drug ecstacy. He breaks up with her, until he realizes he loves her and tries to get her back.

Season 2Edit

Silas impregnates Megan and is forced to never see her again. Megan has an abortion. He then steals all off the Drug Free Zone signs and cameras that Celia Hodes put up. He steals a load of pot from Nancy and wants to deal. The pot is later destroyed by Celia.

Season 3Edit

Silas is arrested and sentenced to community service for stealing the signs and cameras Celia put up. Silas is taught how to grow marijuana to stay out of trouble by Conrad. Silas starts a relationship with a religious girl who wants to abstain from sex, a fact Nancy approves of.

Season 4Edit

When the family relocates to Ren Mar, Silas joins with Rad's mother, Lisa, who owns a cheese shop. Together they grow marijuana in the back of the store and sell it under the name "Head Cheese Sandwhich."
